Preparing for St.Patrick & Saturday Link

IMG_4047 wm

This week was filled with so much uni-work, but after a lot of re-writing, and spending Friday night infront of the computer with a glass of red wine, I finally finished my English Lit. essay about Jane Eyre and 21st century notions of womanhood, a couple of hours before deadline. Finally!

Today I´ve been preparing for St. Patrick`s day. I`ve made a bunch of french macaroons, coloured green of course, some with a milk chocolate filling, and some with a pistachio-buttercream filling and cruncy bites of pistachio and sea salt. Tomorrow we`re having some friends over for a traditional egg&bacon breakfast served with coffee, Irish style 😉 before we head downtown to our local Irish pub to celebrate! Can`t wait! It`ll be a day of festive cheers and good food!

This week I wrote about my great concert experience last weekend and how it was worth every dime, I told you about the The Great Norwegian Adventure, and finally I confronted my fears and baked a Sourdough Bread and shared both the recipe and the starter recipe with all of you!

What do you wear to a Hip Hop Concert? & Saturday Link

Karpe Diemsource

This week I cut my phone plan in half,  finished two assignments for Uni, wrote about rediscovering your neighbourhood, spend two days in the kitchen preparing for BF´s birthday and made some delicious cupcakes, celebrated BF`s birthday with good friends, and now I`m preparing for a  concert  tonight, it`s a Norwegian hip-hop duo with immigrant background called Karpe Diem.

But I really need some help!  What do you wear to a hip hop concert??!! I felt so old yesterday when I said to BF, “I don`t know what to wear, I`m not exactly hippety hop”! I`m thinking high heels, straightened hair, sparkly ear hoops, a cool top, and tight jeans. Or is that just too stereotypical? What would you wear??

Wallowing in Self Pity…

Well, not exactly. Just feeling a bit “under the weather”. Woke up feeling absolutely horrible, but after some painkillers and some well deserved dark chocolate bites, I`m starting to feel better. Though, the thought of opening my textbooks and studying phonetics doesn`t exactly thrill me. After yesterday`s exhausting exam, and a long walk around town, I think I need to just take it easy today. And eat some more chocolate.
